We will be driving in the church van to Glorieta, New Mexico, leaving early on the 25th and coming back late on the 1st. We will begin with a few days of backpacking in northern New Mexico, where we will enjoy the mountains and summit a peak. The remainder of our time will be spent on the river as we whitewater raft the Taos Box, Orilla Verde, and Racecourse sections of the Rio Grande (up to Class III and IV rapids). We spend the night at improved campsites with bathrooms and water, gourmet catered food, access to hot springs to relax in, and great views of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. Students will have the opportunity to spend extended solo times with God in His word out in nature before gathering to discuss our faith and growth in Christ.
This trip is open to high school students currently in 10th grade (2017-18 school year).
The price includes all lodging, transportation, and activities for the week. Students will need to bring money for lunch on the way there and lunch on the way back. They may also want to bring money for snacks on the road or the cafe at Glorieta. All other meals will be provided. Sign up early to get the cheapest price!
