We will be driving along with the rest of our students going to Camp Eagle in Rocksprings, TX. When we arrive, the 9th graders will split off and go up to Eagle Quest. We will stay the first night at Camp Eagle to get geared up and trained in the basics of river kayaking. We will then be driven out to the Pecos River in west Texas. Student will spend a few nights on the river with all of our gear, camping out on the banks, and paddling during the day. This year, we will be doing a new stop along the river where students will have the chance to rock climb, fish, and swim all day. This is a challenging but amazing experience to spend time with God in nature.
This trip is only open to high school students currently in 9th grade (2017-18 school year).
The price includes all transportation, lodging, gear, meals, and activities for the week. Students may want to bring extra money for a stop for snacks on the way to camp, or for buying drinks, snaps, and frappes at the cafe at camp before or after being on the river. Sign up early to get the cheapest price!
