TLC-Doing Life Together
Room 203 This is a participatory discussion group based on selected video studies, facilitated by Nathan & Clarice Barry. It is open to all, but is focused on working adults.
Women of the Bible
Room 204 (for women of all ages) This group studies the Bible from a woman’s perspective. Discussion welcome! All women are invited! This is an ongoing class, so you can join the study at any time. Led by Laura Savage-Rains and Rebecca Ochoa.
Room 205 The Discovery Group is designed to promote Biblical fellowship and ministry among couples. We use group discussion to deal with current topics affecting families today, so our resources vary throughout the year. Our studies vary from books of the Bible to topics related to Christian life issues. All members are encouraged to lead a session on a volunteer basis, so everyone has an opportunity to learn by teaching. Cris and Paula Faught are facilitators.
2nd Floor Student & Children’s Center A Sunday group where young families connect, study the Word and support one another’s growth in Christ. We meet upstairs in the Student & Children’s Center every Sunday at 9:30 am and would love for you to join us. You will find a Home Group meeting nearly every day of the week at various times and at various locations throughout the Lake Travis area. MEN'S AM BIBLE STUDY & FELLOWSHIP7:00-8:00 am Mondays All men of the Lake Travis community are invited to meet for breakfast, fellowship and Bible study. Each Monday morning, come enjoy breakfast and coffee at 6:35 am; study is from 7-8, including a time of prayer. We break into small groups of 6-10 at a table with a discussion leader; we are now studying 1, 2 & 3 John. All ages are welcome. Just come! WOMEN'S WEDS AM BIBLE STUDY9:45 am Wednesdays The Wednesday Women’s Bible Study under the leadership of Sue Johnson will resume on September 5 with a potluck brunch at Alice Nelson’s house. We will start at 9:45 a.m. with a quick review by Sue of the first 19 chapters of the Gospel of Matthew in preparation for the continuation of our study of this wonderful message. The following week, on September 12, we will meet as before in Room 205 of the Fellowship Center, from 9:45-11:00 a.m. Come early and enjoy fellowship with coffee/tea and treats! New members are welcome to attend both the brunch and the weekly studies. There are no books to buy and no homework. For the brunch, bring your favorite salad or something “brunchy” to share at Alice’s home. We will provide the beverages. |Community Bible Study (CBS) women’s class has concluded our spring study and is now taking registrations for next year’s study! Our 30-week study will embark on the book of ACTS, where we will see Christ’s command to His apostles to establish the 1st century church by the power of the Holy Spirit, and apply His calling to our own lives. In addition to our popular children’s program, we also offer curriculum for homeschoolers K – 8th grade where they are able to study the same portion of scripture as their moms. CO-ED COMMUNITY BIBLE STUDYTWO groups: 6:00 - 9:00 pm Wednesdays & Thursdays All single and married men and women welcome! The fall evening coed class of Community Bible Study will study the Acts of the Holy Spirit in establishing and nurturing the first churches in the Holy Land. This adventure includes jailbreaks, shipwrecks, and mystery, doubt, hope, trust, love and joy, plus the story on such leaders as Paul, Peter, and James. As always, we will focus on applying the lessons we learn to the issues we face daily. Thursday, September 6 is an informational BBQ and September 12 and 13 are the first classes; each class meets at Lakeway Church from 7:00 to 8:30 pm on both Wednesdays and Thursdays.
