Dave Beussman has been a member of Lakeway Church and has worked in several capacities since 1997. He initially came on board as the Tenor section leader of the choir. As years passed, he took on additional roles, including the assistant choir director, the Praise Band Worship Leader, and two previous periods as Interim Minister of Music/Choir Director. Additionally, Dave has sung at numerous wedding and memorial services. After the passing of Mark Savage Rains, Dave was asked to step into the role of Interim Choir Director again. He plans to lead to the best of his ability while managing time and responsibilities in his other job.

Dave is in his 17th year as Director of Choirs at Anderson High School in Austin. Before his current position, he taught middle school choir in the Austin ISD for 12 years. He received his Bachelor of Music from Luther College in Decorah, IA, where he was a member of the Nordic Choir for three years and studied under Weston Noble. Dave is a member of ACDA, TMEA, and TCDA. He is also the AISD Facilitator for the High School Choir in the Austin ISD. His wife of 13 years, Laura, is the Senior Vice President of Marketing for Callrail. He has four beautiful daughters. His oldest is a Business Development Manager for Seppic based in Dallas. His other adult daughter is a University Recruiter for Bell Flight in Fort Worth. Meanwhile, he also has a daughter in fifth grade and one in first grade.
