All are invited to experience Jesus’ journey to the cross through a dramatic presentation by the combined choirs of Lakeway Church and the Lake Travis United Methodist Church with orchestra.

Experiencing the final week of Jesus Christ’s life, leading to His death on the cross, will help give a deeper understanding of His love for you and me.  His journey, His life, His sacrifice shows us that truly God So Loved.

Easter Celebration | Journey to the Cross

Rain or Shine!

Journey to the Cross is a walk-through event that guides you and your family along the path Jesus walked during His last days on Earth.  It focuses on Jesus’ love and forgiveness to demonstrate the real meaning of Easter: our risen Christ’s victory over death!

Designed for grandparents, parents, and children to experience together, this event teaches about the life-changing message of the cross in a way that everyone can understand and no one will forget.  All are welcome to stay after the walk-through to enjoy hot dogs, face painting and a petting zoo.

Join us for a Contemporary Easter Service on Saturday at 4:00 pm in the Worship Center.  Bring the entire family for this exciting afternoon service to celebrate the resurrection of our savior. Prime Timers April Field Trip

Please join us Thursday, April 9th for a day of history and beauty as we tour four of the Painted Churches in Schulenberg, Texas.

We will need to leave at 8:00am and plan on arriving back at Lakeway Church around 6:00pm.

Itinerary for Thursday, April 9th

• 8am check in at Lakeway Church Atrium
• 10:30am arrive at Schulenberg Chamber of Commerce – pick up tour guide
• Tour 2 Churches
• Buffet Lunch at Oak Ridge Smokehouse
• Tour 2 Churches
• 4pm Depart Schulenberg
• 6pm Arrive back at Lakeway Church Atrium

The cost for this trip is $55 per person, which covers your bus ticket, buffet lunch, and tour fee.

At check-in we will also be collecting a cash donation to tip our bus driver and tour guide.

Baptism Class

Your most important role as a parent is helping your children begin a relationship with Jesus! If you’re wondering if your child is ready to be baptized and how they can become followers of Christ, our Baptism Class is a perfect place for kids from kindergarten through 5th grade to get their questions answered.

Meals of Hope

Join Lakeway Church Kids ministry as we feed Central Texas! 

On April 25th, our church will come together and give you and your family a chance to help pack more than 50,000 meals and distribute them to organizations addressing food insecurity in the Austin area, including mission partners:

Partners in Prayer

Prayer is the heartbeat of Lakeway Church and the Partners in Prayer (PIP) program creates a way for individuals to actively pray and support each other as well as foster a stronger bond within our church community.

A PIP participant commits to praying for one randomly assigned gender-matched partner every day for 11 weeks.  Contact information is shared voluntarily with the freedom to communicate directly with your prayer partner or to maintain anonymity.   While PIP participants are encouraged to connect virtually and/or in person, we understand that some may choose a more private option and be connected only through prayer.  Prayer guidance will be provided by PIP leadership with a strong emphasis on scripture to assist in prayer methods and overall growth.

Near the end of the 11 weeks (on Wednesday, July 15th), join the entire group for an evening potluck celebration focusing on fellowship, recounting God’s blessings, and corporate prayer.

We hope that participating in the PIP program will help expand your prayer life and increase your dependence on God as He inspires and listens to you, as well as bless the life of your partner.

While our Partners in Prayer program is designed for adults, Lakeway Students aged 14+ may be registered by a parent/guardian who must also participate in the PIP program.  Students will be matched with other students of the same gender.

Baptism Sunday and Church Picnic

Join us on Sunday, April 26, on the Great Lawn for a church-wide celebration and picnic as we cheer on our brothers and sisters in Christ, publicly affirming their faith through baptism. Bring your family, invite friends, and let’s celebrate together!

High School Seniors will be honored on Sunday, May 3rd during the 9:30 and 11:00am services in the Worship Center. This special recognition event aims to celebrate the achievements and milestones of the graduating class, acknowledging their hard work and dedication throughout their high school journey. Families, friends, and community members are invited to join in these services to show their support and pride for the seniors as they prepare to embark on the next chapter of their lives. The Worship Center will be filled with joy and encouragement, marking a memorable occasion for all attendees.

The Bridge Event | Incoming 6th Grade Students

National Day of Prayer is an event you won’t want to miss! Invite your friends and family for a patriotic dinner followed by a time of worship and intentional prayer in the Sanctuary.

Rio Grande Bible College Potluck

On Wednesday, May 14, we’ll have the privilege of hosting four students from Rio Grande Bible College for a special evening of worship, music, and testimony—shared in both Spanish and English. Rio Grande Bible College, one of our Global Missions Partners, trains students from across Latin America who are preparing to step into full-time ministry and to be sent out as missionaries around the world.

We want this night to feel like family—a warm, welcoming evening where we gather around the table, celebrate what God is doing in other parts of the world, and worship together as one church. It’s also a chance to encourage these students personally as they prepare to serve the Lord in ministry, and to be reminded that we’re part of something bigger than ourselves.

We’ll begin with a potluck dinner at 6:00 PM in the Fellowship Hall, so please bring your favorite dish to share, and come ready for a joyful, cross-cultural night of connection and encouragement. Whether you’re new to Lakeway or have been here for years, this is the kind of night where friendships grow and hearts get stirred toward God’s mission. Come hungry, come expectant, and come ready to welcome others to the table.
