What is our highest purpose?

The Christian life is meant to be marked by joy.  Our highest purpose is to glorify God and life a life of joy in the Holy Spirit.  In a world increasingly marked by division, greed, and distraction, we show up filled with the joy of Christ.  

Teaching from Romans 14:17 and 1 Corinthians 10:31, this message unpacks how true fulfillment is found not in success or possessions, but in a relationship with God marked by righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit.

Celebrate the resurrection of our Lord and Savior with us this Easter!

On Easter Sunday, we celebrate the hope at the very center of our faith: Jesus is alive.

In this message, we reflect on the power of the resurrection and what it means for our lives today. The resurrection is not only a moment in history—it is an invitation. An invitation to find hope where we thought there was none, peace in the middle of uncertainty, and new life through Jesus Christ.

At Lakeway Church, our mission is simple: inviting everyone to find and follow Jesus.
Easter reminds us why that mission matters. Because when Jesus rose from the grave, everything changed—death no longer has the final word, and every person is invited into a relationship with Him.

Good Friday Service- God So Loved

All are invited to experience Jesus’ journey to the cross through a dramatic presentation by the combined choirs of Lakeway Church and the Lake Travis United Methodist Church with orchestra.

Experiencing the final week of Jesus Christ’s life, leading to His death on the cross, will help give a deeper understanding of His love for you and me.  His journey, His life, His sacrifice shows us that truly God So Loved.

Nehemiah: Running with God’s Vision is a four-week journey through the book of Nehemiah, inviting us to explore what it means for God’s church to pursue a God-given mission and take part in what He is building. Through this ancient story, we’ll discover how God forms His people through prayer, empowers us for the work, gives us the strength to stay the course, and leads us to experience the joy that comes from making a difference for the glory of God.

These aren’t abstract questions—they surface in moments of stress, transition, uncertainty, and exhaustion. In a world that often defines people by performance, productivity, and net worth, Scripture tells a better, steadier story. Join us for Wonderfully Made, a four-week teaching series exploring what the Bible says about human dignity, identity, purpose, and even how to live in light of eternity. It’s time to rediscover who we are because of whose we are—and how a secure identity in Christ frees us to live with clarity, conviction, and confidence, for the glory of God.
