Lakeway Church Supports a variety of ministries that are in Central Texas and the Greater Austin Area
Austin Disaster Relief Network (ADRN)
Austin Disaster Relief Network (ADRN) exists to glorify Christ by equipping, empowering, and mobilizing the Church of Greater Austin to shepherd those affected by disaster and to meet their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.
Christ Together Greater Austin (CTGA)
Christ Together Greater Austin (CTGA) is a partnership of pastors and churches seeking to demonstrate and communicate the love of God to the people of Greater Austin by ensuring that every man, woman, and child has repeated opportunities to see, hear, and respond to the gospel. CTGA therefore seeks to convene, catalyze, connect, and celebrate city-wide efforts that pursue gospel saturation.
Focus on Family
Hope Restored is a Focus on the Family Marriage Retreat Center located near Wimberley, Texas. A Hope Restored intensive retreat is a biblically based, Christian counseling experience for couples facing a crisis moment in their marriage or suffering from years of disconnection and relationship decay. The licensed Christian counselors at Hope Restored are trained to work with couples with deep hurts and long-term problems.
Resource Global
Resource Global identifies and empowers high-potential, Christ-filled young professionals who are the future investors, business and civic leaders, elders, and entrepreneurs in their communities. We provide them with Gospel-centered teaching and mentorship at a critical time in their life and career development and connect them into a global community of like-minded peers, cohort alumni, business and ministry leaders – all committed to advancing the Gospel in cities around the world.
East Austin Food Bank
In 2020, as the pandemic lockdown deepened, Riverbend Church asked many churches in Travis County for volunteers to help with a drive-through groceries distribution mission at Austin Reconciliation Church on Cameron Road in East Austin. Lakeway Church members, usually a dozen or so volunteers, serve every Wednesday for 1.5 hours. Many members of the church participate and enjoy the fellowship and goodwill which this Area Missions project brings on a weekly basis. It is a joy to see the smiles and hear the “Thank you’s” of appreciation, especially from the children.
Education Connection
Education Connection is a ministry of Christ Together Greater Austin. Lakeway Church’s Literacy Partners read with students in all seven LTISD elementary schools. Volunteers all share a desire to fulfill the goal that every student is reading on grade level by the end of 3rd grade. Literacy Partners provide consistent one-on-one interaction with students selected by their classroom teachers. Approved volunteers read weekly with two or more students for 15 minutes each throughout the school year. The impact of this short weekly commitment lasts a lifetime.
Luke 4:18 Ministries
Luke 4:18 Ministries provides opportunities for individuals to seek and experience healing and freedom through prayer, spiritual direction, freedom sessions, and healing rooms. Their teams serve the homeless at Church under the Bridge and through Hope on the Way and are working to establish a Christ-centered ministry for the homeless in Austin.
The Refuge Ranch: A Ministry of Arms of Hope
The Refuge Ranch in Bastrop joined Arms of Hope under its Board of Directors. Thanks to God’s provision and community support, Arms of Hope has over 175 years of experience helping children and single-mother families across Texas. Both organizations share a vision of healing and preventing sex trafficking. Arms of Hope will use The Refuge Ranch campus for its voluntary program supporting single mothers and their children. With a proven Christian approach focused on keeping families together through case management, counseling, and education, Arms of Hope will now be able to bless even more families across Texas.
TruCare Pregnancy Center
TruCare is dedicated to reaching the abortion-minded and showing them the love of Jesus. They support women in unintended pregnancies through options education, free pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, abortion pill reversal, STD testing, pregnancy and parenting support, discipleship, and material support. Their mission is to see BABIES BORN and PEOPLE REBORN!
God of Hope Ministries
The God of Hope Ministries provides Christian care and discipleship to men and women incarcerated in the Travis State Jail for men and the Lockhart Coleman Unit for women. They operate four faith-based dorms where they provide intensive discipleship through classes, discipleship groups, and one-on-one life coaching.
The Salvation Army
The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.
Texas Reach Out Ministry
Texas Reach Out is a non-profit ministry that provides housing and spiritual development for Christian men and women reintegrating into society after exiting the criminal justice system. They are committed to walking alongside our brothers and sisters in Christ as they work to rebuild their lives with Christ.
The Refuge – projects & collection drives
The Refuge periodically needs volunteers to help with various on-site work projects and to support its ongoing collection drives to benefit the girls and their care team.
