Food Distribution – East Austin Food Bank
In 2020, as the pandemic lockdown deepened, Riverbend Church asked many churches in Travis County for volunteers to help with a drive-through grocery distribution mission at Austin Reconciliation Church on Cameron Road in East Austin. Lakeway Church members, usually a dozen or so volunteers, serve every Wednesday for 1.5 hours. Many members of the church participate and enjoy the fellowship and goodwill which this Area Missions project brings on a weekly basis. It is a joy to see the smiles and hear the “Thank you’s” of appreciation, especially from the children.
Join our team of volunteers to help distribute food at Austin Reconciliation Church in northeast Austin. Volunteers place food from pallets into the cars of those in need as they drive through the church parking lot.
