Ephesians 4:29 and Proverbs 18:21 together emphasize the incredible power of our words. Proverbs 18:21 reminds us that our words hold the power of life and death, while Ephesians 4:29 urges us to speak only words that build up and give grace. Practically, this means recognizing that our words can either uplift and encourage or wound and destroy. Speaking positively brings life, strengthens relationships, and reflects God’s grace. Conversely, negative or careless words can harm, discourage, and break trust. These verses challenge us to be mindful of our speech, using it as a tool to bless and nurture others.
