Lakeway Church

Our Global Missions team members connect and collaborate with missionaries around the world that the church supports to help develop effective partnerships. Team members help to nurture excellent stewardship of our financial support of those missionaries, help to organize ways that the congregation can engage with them (by learning, going, giving, and praying), and help to ensure that the missionaries are encouraged and effective in the various places they’re serving around the world.

Local/Area Missions Liaisons build a relational connection with a ministry organization in our city that the church supports to help develop an effective partnership. Liaisons help to champion opportunities for our congregation to engage with that ministry, and they keep up to date with service projects, financial needs, and prayer requests. This role involves responsibilities like visiting the assigned organization, communicating/meeting with its leaders, personally praying regularly for the ministry, and facilitating any visits to Lakeway Church from that organization (like Sunday morning Missions Moments and our Missions Sunday event).

Support Groups provide emotional and spiritual support to individuals dealing with various disruptions in life, such as grief, divorce, cancer, etc. We need caring leaders who will walk alongside those going through challenging times.

The Prayer Team supports the church and community by providing vibrant, active, and Christ-centered prayer. Team members respond to prayer requests received in various ways and actively lift up various church ministries.

Lead conversation, present material, high social/emotional intelligence, good communicator, possess a shepherd’s heart – desiring to see people grow in Christ, warm and welcoming, willing to establish healthy group boundaries and hold members of the group to those boundaries for the benefit of all participants.

A heart to serve the men of Lakeway Church and to see Men’s Ministry thrive. Specific needs focus on event welcoming and nametag production, food and coffee preparation at various events, working with men’s ministry leaders to execute facilities set up and tear down for various events.
