There are many opportunities to use your God-given gifts to serve within Lakeway Church. With a church as active as ours, we need tons of volunteers! Our biggest need for volunteers are in the following areas:

Parking Lot Team
Plans and implements the Adult Education programs and Sunday Bible studies.
Adult Sunday School
Recruits and oversees leaders/facilitators for adult Sunday School Classes.
Small Group Ministry
Provides support and training for Small Group hosts/leaders to encourage Chriatian discipleship through various means of small group Bible study.
Oversees the maintenance and equipment of all church buildings.
Recruits and supervises leaders to teach children God's Word through age-appropriate, creative Bible-centered curriculum, along with creating outreach opportunities (Vacation Bible School, Extreme Wednesdays, etc.) for children.
Presents a welcoming and loving church, creating a positive first impression by warmly greeting and welcoming all visitors and first-time attendees.
Oversees the maintenance, equipment and appearance of all church properties.
Recruits and oversees members to help with functions that require hospitality/food/beverages.
Oversees set up, serving and clean up of monthly church suppers.
Memorial Reception Ministry
Provides receptions for families after funeral and memorial services held at The Lakeway Church.
Java, Juice & Donuts
Recruits and oversees members to serve coffee and snacks between services on Sunday mornings.
Promotes growing the membership by hosting periodic Inquirers/New Member Classes, New Member Luncheons, coordinates Pictorial Membership Directory, etc.
Shepherds lead members of the congregation within flocks according to the geographical location of their home. They host the church suppers and provide the desserts on a rotating basis. They also help in providing comfort to members within their flock who have lost a loved one or have temporary health issues.
Engages men in studies and activities that promote personal spiritual growth and Christian fellowship by providing training for men to become effective disciples of Christ. Creates opportunities for men to meet together to develop a sense of unity and purpose and to provide mentoring opportunities.
OutreachOversees all outreach endeavors of the church; coordinates projects with third-party organizations; oversees accounting: special outreach collections at Easter and Christmas and payments to projects/missionaries. LOCAL: Lake Travis Community:

PrayerProvides a weekly prayer group in the church, praying for prayer requests as they are received. Publicizes various methods by which the congregation might share prayer requests and organizes special prayer groups in support of church programs as needed. Coordinates weekly Thursday Evening Prayer Meeting from 5:30 - 6:30 pm in Room 207 of the Fellowship Center.
Enhances the fellowship of Senior Adults in our community by providing opportunities for spiritual growth along with fun and informative social activities.
Assisted Living Ministry
Ministers to those in our community who are currently living in an assisted living facility.
Coordinates once-a-month trips and activities for those 60 and over and occasional special events.
Coordinates transportation for community members with no other means of transportation to and from local appointments.
Encourages spiritual growth through unique events (movies, simulcasts, speakers, concerts, productions, etc.) Reaches out to non-believers and un-churched individuals in the community by addressing special community needs: drought, disaster, tragedy, etc.
Encourages people to understand Christian family values and live them out by providing regular educational and encouragement opportunities on family value subjects such as marriage, divorce, parenting, single parenting, discipline, training children/youth, sanctity of life, etc., in coordination with other ministries.
Enhances fellowship between members across the spectrum of the total church membership by planning and holding special social activities.
Stephen Ministry is a community of trained individuals who effectively reach out to others in need by providing Christian caregiving in one-to-one relationships and group ministries (e.g., Caring for Caregivers, GriefShare, DivorceCare and Single & Parenting Group) with emphasis on commitment and confidentiality.
Maintains ongoing contact with homebound members and their families insuring them that they are stilll valued members of The Lakeway Church.
Oversees major functions and events of the student ministry. Creates and promotes participation in special fellowship, service and worship opportunities and programs for students such as summer camping trips, Comal River Tubing, Schlitterbahn, Paintball, Blazer Tag, Mobile Loaves and Fishes volunteer, Armadillo Toy Drive, Mission Trips, Wednesday Night Small Groups, etc.
Coordinates events for women for growth, fellowship and study by hosting dinners, luncheons and teas, sponsoring retreats with inspirational speakers, and providing information to church women about opportunities such as Women of Faith, simulcasts and Austin area Christian women’s events.
Plans and prepares the Sanctuary for celebrating communion in each service. Recruits and schedules the appropriate number of ushers and communion stewards for each service, along with preparing and decorating the Sanctuary for special services, e.g., Advent & Easter, etc.
Provides music and music leadership for all worship services and all church programs where needed by developing choirs, ensembles and groups of all ages to provide music and leadership to support the church's services and programs.
Recruits and schedules members to serve as communion stewards during Sunday services.
Recruits and schedules members to serve as ushers during Sunday services.
