The usher team reinforces an easygoing welcome into the sanctuary and helps create a distraction-free worship experience.
Tasks
- Smile at guests as they enter the auditorium
- Evaluate seating needs including number, access, etc
- Guide guests to a suitable row
- Ensure easy entry to seats
- Assist communion needs during services
- Reset the auditorium when needed
- Assist with crowd management during emergency response
Serving Rotation
- Minimum 1 Sunday per month
- Minimum 1 hour, 45 minute shift
Requirements
- A joyful, relaxed, helpful and commanding demeanor
- Ability to assess and meet the needs of guests with cheerfulness and grace
