A Joy-Centered Life in Christ

Christianity isn’t merely believing something; it’s becoming someone.

People are watching the lives of people who claim to follow Jesus.

What they see either reinforces or contradicts what we say we believe.

We’ve been walking through Paul’s letter to the Philippians in our series, A joy-centered life in Christ.

In chapter 1, Paul taught us that joy is possible even when life doesn’t go as planned.

In chapter 2, Paul gave us one of the most beautiful descriptions of Jesus found anywhere in Scripture. Though He was in the form of God, Jesus humbled Himself, took the form of a servant, and became obedient to death – even death on a cross.

Paul challenged us to have that same mind, but here’s the question: What does that actually look like in everyday life?

What does humility look like on Monday morning? What does putting others first look like in a marriage, a workplace, or a church. Paul doesn’t leave us guessing.
