Our greeting team provides a comfortable welcome for guests though opening doors and offering a sincere greeting, acknowledging each person who enters the building for Sunday Worship Services and special events.

The parking team serves by creating a good first impression for guests and regular attendees by helping them park and providing a ride to and from the sanctuary.

Ushers serve the church by welcoming people into worship, helping them find their way around the campus, and helping them find a seat in the Sanctuary.

The Welcome Center helps guests connect with the church. They do this by creating an environment where guests are welcomed to fill out a guest card and attendees feel like they have a point of contact, communication for church events, a consistent location for sign-ups, and an informed person to ask questions.

God is doing some amazing things with our Lakeway Church kids. We want every child, everywhere, to be able to hear the gospel of Jesus Christ and engage in a lifelong journey of following Christ. At AWANA, our leaders provide kids with a faith foundation; you can be a part of the excitement!

Volunteering with Lakeway Kids is an amazing experience. We promise you will have so much fun and joy!

AWANA (Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed – 2 Timothy 2:15) is an international, non-denominational, Bible-centered children’s organization committed to teaching children the Word of God.  At AWANA, children play games, have music and Bible lesson time, and earn awards by reciting memorized scripture.

Tuesdays from 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm
Sept 3rd through Dec 17th (except Thanksgiving week)
Jan 7th through April 29th (except Spring Break week)

Small Groups are where kids connect, are discipled, experience community with other kids, and are cared for by a trusted adult, a Small Group Leader. Leaders encourage kids to pursue deeper relationships with Jesus Christ by teaching and modeling what it means to become a follower.

-Lead prepared lessons to help the kids understand and apply the Bible to their lives.
-Leaders are equipped with training, weekly lessons, and prepared activities, so they may focus the hour on encouraging kids.
-Age range options include:  Nursery (birth-23 months), Toddler (2-3 years), Pre-K (4-5 years) Kindergarten through 5th grade

Is your gift hospitality, decorating, and planning?  The special events team is for you! We have many events throughout the year that require a team to plan, coordinate, and execute:

Do you have a gift for organizing and service, but don’t feel called to be in a classroom with kids, this is your spot! Our Prep Team meets during the week to prepare the activities for Sunday mornings and other events. A great place to laugh and meet new friends while serving a huge need in Kids Ministry.

If you love to smile and give direction, you have a place right here! As a Lakeway Kids Greeter, you are the face of our ministry and the first person new families meet. Greeters hold open doors, assist with check-in, may give a quick tour, answer questions, be resourceful, and escort new families to Worship.

The student small group leader supports the ministry’s mission to engage student’s minds for a relationship with Jesus and lead them toward a life fully devoted to Him by discipling a group of approximately 10 students at our Wednesday night programming, called Rally. Small groups perform the essential functions of a community of believers in Christ: worship, prayer, Bible study, accountability, mission, and fellowship. The small group leader embraces these elements in their own Christian walk.

The Sunday Service Leader supports the ministry’s mission to engage student’s minds for a relationship with Jesus and lead them toward a life fully devoted to Him by developing relationships with students, modeling an authentic Christian faith, and guiding Sunday morning reflections on the essentials of following Christ.

The Trip Support Team supports the ministry’s mission to engage student’s minds for a relationship with Jesus and lead them toward a life fully devoted to Him by providing behind-the-scenes logistical support before trips, ensuring a quality experience for students and staff.

Sunday worship services utilize an array of production crew operators for the in-person and live stream congregations. Each of the positions require a great amount of craftsmanship and responsibility as the work of these individuals directly impacts the worship experience of everyone. Prior experience not necessary since sequenced training is required for each role. Crews for the main sanctuary volunteer for both services from 8am-12:30p on Sundays for which they have volunteered (1 to 4 times per month).

Our team slogan is that we push the Gospel through technology to make it “Clearer, More Meaningful, and Reach More People!”

Various opportunities include both operating and designing elements like lighting, sound, livestream, and graphics.

The Contemporary Worship Team helps to provide musical leadership for heartfelt, Christ-centered, congregational worship and works to create an environment in which people can more easily commune with God, encounter His Word, dwell in His presence, and respond to Him with whole-life worship. Opportunities include a variety of instrumental and vocalist roles.

The Traditional Worship Team helps to provide musical leadership for heartfelt, Christ-centered, congregational worship and works to create an environment in which people can more easily commune with God, encounter His Word, dwell in His presence, and respond to Him with whole-life worship. Opportunities include choir and vocalist roles as well as musicians who play woodwinds, brass, strings or percussion instruments.

We need helpers to setup and tear down environments before and after a variety of events that happen at church on a regular basis. This generally involves moving heavy things, but also includes some finer details to make a room feel right to those who show up.

If you have a strong desire to move chairs and tables… and then move them back again, this job is for you! This is often a thankless job, but so vital to successful programs!

The Buildings and Grounds team member supports the church by working with other members to provide a welcoming, clean, and safe environment, allowing for a distraction-free focus for worship and discipleship.

The administrative support volunteer supports the church by providing assistance on large admin tasks or special projects, especially during busy times of the year for work like bulk mailings and preparation of seasonal printed materials.

A heart to serve the women of Lakeway Church and to see Women’s Ministry thrive. Specific needs focus on event welcoming and nametag production, food and coffee preparation at various events, working with women’s ministry leaders to execute facilities set up and tear down for various events.

Lead conversation, present material, high social/emotional intelligence, good communicator, possess a shepherd’s heart – desiring to see people grow in Christ, warm and welcoming, willing to establish healthy group boundaries and hold members of the group to those boundaries for the benefit of all participants.

The Stephen Ministry supports the church and community by providing one to one Christ-centered care to people in need.

The Prayer Team supports the church and community by providing vibrant, active, and Christ-centered prayer. Team members respond to prayer requests received in various ways and actively lift up various church ministries.

Support Groups provide emotional and spiritual support to individuals dealing with various disruptions in life, such as grief, divorce, cancer, etc. We need caring leaders who will walk alongside those going through challenging times.

Local/Area Missions Liaisons build a relational connection with a ministry organization in our city that the church supports to help develop an effective partnership. Liaisons help to champion opportunities for our congregation to engage with that ministry, and they keep up to date with service projects, financial needs, and prayer requests. This role involves responsibilities like visiting the assigned organization, communicating/meeting with its leaders, personally praying regularly for the ministry, and facilitating any visits to Lakeway Church from that organization (like Sunday morning Missions Moments and our Missions Sunday event).

Our Global Missions team members connect and collaborate with missionaries around the world that the church supports to help develop effective partnerships. Team members help to nurture excellent stewardship of our financial support of those missionaries, help to organize ways that the congregation can engage with them (by learning, going, giving, and praying), and help to ensure that the missionaries are encouraged and effective in the various places they’re serving around the world.
