Ash Wednesday

Ash Wednesday begins the season of Lent, a time of renewal, repentance, and preparation for the Easter feast. Ashes, made from dried palm branches from the prior year’s Palm Sunday celebration, are a sign of our mortality. We also reflect on the areas of our lives that are estranged from God’s presence and resolve to turn again toward God’s boundless mercy and love.  We hope your family joins us  for a short worship, prayer, and communion as we enter the Lent Season.

Prime Timers March Road Trip

Please join us Thursday, March 12th for a day of community and sweetness as we take a self-guided tour of the Bluebell Factory in Brenham, then top it off with a wonderful local lunch. We will leave at around 9:15 am from the Atrium and plan on arriving back at Lakeway Church around 2:30 pm.

The cost is $15 per person, for your bus seat.  The factory tour is free.  Please bring money to purchase your lunch.  At check-in we will be collecting an optional cash donation for the bus driver’s tip.

Family Worship Sunday

March 29 is Family Worship Sunday, the 5th Sunday of the month. Kids and Students are invited to join the 9:30 or 11:00 am services in the Worship Center. We hope this will be a fun way to welcome them into the broader life of our church!

Easter Celebration | Journey to the Cross

Journey to the Cross is a walk-through event that guides you and your family along the path Jesus walked during His last days on Earth.  It focuses on Jesus’ love and forgiveness to demonstrate the real meaning of Easter: our risen Christ’s victory over death!

Designed for grandparents, parents, and children to experience together, this event teaches about the life-changing message of the cross in a way that everyone can understand and no one will forget.  All are welcome to stay after the walk-through to enjoy hot dogs, cotton candy, a petting zoo, and a bounce house on the Great Lawn.

Prime Timers April Field Trip

Please join us Thursday, April 9th for a day of history and beauty as together we tour four of the Painted Churches in Schulenberg, Texas.

We will need to leave at 8:00am and plan on arriving back at Lakeway Church around 6:00pm.

Itinerary for Thursday, April 9th

• 8am check in at Lakeway Church Atrium
• 10:30am arrive at Schulenberg Chamber of Commerce – pick up tour guide
• Tour 2 Churches
• Buffet Lunch at Oak Ridge Smokehouse
• Tour 2 Churches
• 4pm Depart Schulenberg
• 6pm Arrive back at Lakeway Church Atrium

The cost for this trip is $55 per person, which covers your bus ticket, buffet lunch, and tour fee.

At check-in we will also be collecting a cash donation to tip our bus driver and tour guide.

Baptism Class

Your most important role as a parent is helping your children begin a relationship with Jesus! If you’re wondering if your child is ready to be baptized and how they can become followers of Christ, our Baptism Class is a perfect place for kids from kindergarten through 5th grade to get their questions answered.

There will be a video and more details on what to expect on baptism day.

Meals of Hope

Join Lakeway Church Kids ministry as we feed Central Texas! 

On April 25th, our church will come together and give you and your family a chance to help pack more than 50,000 meals and distribute them to organizations addressing food insecurity in the Austin area, including mission partners: 

–Helping Hand of Spicewood Crisis Ministry
–Lake Travis Crisis Ministries

To do so, we need to raise $16,000. Each meal only costs $0.32, so a donation of just $25 will buy 78 meals, and a donation of $100 will buy 312 meals! 

DONATE and help us address food insecurity in Central Texas!
