Your most important role as a parent is helping your children begin a relationship with Jesus! If you’re wondering if your child is ready to be baptized and how they can become followers of Christ, our Baptism Class is a perfect place for kids from kindergarten through 5th grade to get their questions answered.

There will be a video and more details on what to expect on baptism day.

Baptisms at Lakeway Church

Water baptism is the next step after inviting Jesus Christ into your life. Baptism is an act of obedience to the Lord that publicly declares that you have died to an old life of sin and have been given a new life in Jesus Christ. (Luke 3:13-17; Acts 2:38-39; Luke 23:39-43). Faith in Jesus Christ is what saves a person (Ephesians 2:8-9).

If you want to learn more about the significance of this decision, the meaning of baptism, and the details of our upcoming Baptism Sunday, please sign up for a Baptism Class.  For kids in K-5th grade, a parent is required to attend with their child.

Baptisms are significant moments in the life of our church as we affirm your faith and welcome you into the family of God. We invite everyone to join us after the 11 am service for a church-wide celebration lunch!

5th Sunday Family Worship + Celebration

Parents are the primary faith builders for their children. Four to five times a year, on the fifth Sunday of the month, families have the opportunity to worship together. This allows kids and students to experience the importance of attending “big church” and growing in faith alongside the broader church family.

Senior Adult Day at Highland Lakes Camp

If you are 65+ (or older) and still claim to be young at heart… join the fun at Highland Lakes Camp and Conference Center for a great day of Christian fellowship, inspirational entertainment, and delicious lunch. This year, Richard Jackson (a previous local pastor and current professor at Howard Payne University) will be our speaker, and Chris & Diane Machen will be the musical entertainment.

Middle School Spring Retreat

Middle School students are invited to Camp Buckner for a retreat—a weekend of fun and slowing down to be in awe of God and His creation. The hope of our retreat is to have students spend time investing in their relationship with God while building community and making fun memories with one another. Students can enjoy many amenities Camp Buckner offers, such as waterslides, kayaks, hayrides, archery, basketball, volleyball, human foosball, and more!

You’re invited to a special time of connection and purpose at the Women’s Gathered Easter Tea. You’ll hear how The Refuge is partnering with Arms of Hope to provide single moms and their at-risk children a safe place to live and thrive. Plus, you’ll enjoy an uplifting performance by the Wildflowers choir—you won’t want to miss it!

Good Friday Worship

Individuals and families are invited to experience Jesus’ journey to the cross through a dramatic presentation by the combined choirs & Orchestra of Lakeway Church and the Lake Travis United Methodist Church.

Engage in worship and prayer through scripture, music, and art to remember and reflect on the final days of Jesus Christ’s ministry, leading to the death on the cross. Respond to His sacrifice and experience God’s love for you as demonstrated by Christ’s sacrificial love.

Easter Celebration | Journey to the Cross

Journey to the Cross is a walk-through event that guides you and your family along the path Jesus walked during His last days on Earth.  It focuses on Jesus’ love and forgiveness to demonstrate the real meaning of Easter: our risen Christ’s victory over death!

Designed for grandparents, parents, and children to experience together, this event teaches about the life-changing message of the cross in a way that everyone can understand and no one will forget.  All are welcome to stay after the walk-through to enjoy hot dogs, cotton candy, a petting zoo, and a bounce house on the Great Lawn.
