2026 Elder Election

The Church Elders provide spiritual leadership and vision for our church. As members of Lakeway Church, one of the most important things we get to do is vote for our church’s leadership. Please prayerfully consider your choice and participate in this process by casting your votes. The two elected elders will join David Morgan, Eric Erickson, Jille Dorler, Scott Balaguer, and Pastor Scott Rodgers on the Elder Council.

Who can vote? 
-You must be a member of The Lakeway Church.  (Membership Info) Each member over 18 years of age, living in your household, may cast their vote.

When do I vote?
-Voting begins Friday, October 24, and will conclude Sunday, November 9, at 12 noon. The election results will be announced by email to the membership on Monday, November 10.

How can I vote?
-Bios of each candidate and an online ballot form will be emailed to the membership on Friday, October 24th.*
-Printed bios, ballots, and boxes are in the Worship Center Atrium and Church Office.
-If you did not receive an email about Elder Voting, please contact he church office.

Love Our Neighbors Benefit Concert

We can’t wait to see you at the annual Benefit Concert for Lake Travis Crisis Ministries, which will feature choirs from Lakeway Church, Lake Travis United Methodist Church, Lake Travis High School, Hudson Bend Middle School, and The Wildflowers. This year, we are excited to have the Lake Travis High School String Quartet joining us.

For more than twenty years, the Love Our Neighbors concert has brought the community together through this combined choral event, raising money for our neighbors in need.

The Lake Travis Crisis Ministries is an interreligious, all-volunteer organization helping families and individuals in the Lake Travis Independent School District area in a crisis by providing food, clothing, financial assistance, and whatever is necessary for individuals in need.  In addition to supporting this ministry financially, Lakeway Church invites visitors and members to drop off pantry donations in the Fellowship Center, which are delivered weekly to the Crisis Ministry pantry.

Thanksgiving Meal Bags for Lake Travis Crisis Ministries

Each year, with your help, we pack reusable bags with love and generously give them to Lake Travis Crisis Ministries to support our Lake Travis ISD Families in need this holiday season. We appreciate everyone who supports Lakeway Church Missions—Give Thanks and Give Back.

Please help us give families a Happy Thanksgiving this year!  In 2024, Lake Travis Crisis Ministries distributed 255 + Thanksgiving food bags to those in need.

A dessert, such as a cookie or cake mix
A note of hope and encouragement

Build a Box, and you can transform entire families and communities worldwide with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

When you build a Shoebox for a child, you provide believers in remote regions with a creative way to share the Good News in a culturally sensitive manner. You can participate in two ways :

1) Pick up an empty box starting Nov 2 – return the box filled to Lakeway Church by Sun, Nov 16.

Outside the Worship Center, you can pick up an empty box and packing instructions on Sunday, November 2 and November 9. Bring it back to the Worship Center on Sunday or to the office during open hours, during these two weeks

Each online shoebox is carefully prepared, abiding by strict customs regulations to safeguard partners who deliver the gifts as well as the boys and girls who receive them.

Jim Gill received his B.A from the University of Houston in 1973, his M.Div from Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary in 1977 and his D.Min. in 1996. In 2018 Jim retired after 40 years of service as a PCUSA pastor. Since then he served as an Interim Pastor in three different churches until June of 2021 when he began serving as a Parish Associate at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian in Houston. (where he served as an Associate Pastor from 1981- 1991.)

Child Dedication Class

We believe a child’s dedication and celebration are about dedicating the child to the Lord and encouraging parents to raise them in a God-honoring way. As your church, we want to partner with you and be your biggest fans and supporters as you seek to raise your child to know, love, and serve Jesus Christ one day. Join us for an encouraging seminar to help you navigate the holidays and discover new ways to make them enjoyable again. GriefShare and DivorceCare groups will have separate seminars.

Family Worship Sunday

Aug 31 is Family Worship Sunday, which happens whenever there is a 5th Sunday in the month. Kids and Students are invited to join the 9:30 or 11:00 am services in the Worship Center. We hope this will be a fun way to welcome them into the broader life of our church!

Women’s Gathered

Lakeway Women’s Gathered invites you to a Christmas Coffee to highlight the contributions of the Salvation Army, the largest provider of family emergency shelter in Central Texas. The Salvation Army serves more than 10,000 people each year through shelter, addiction rehabilitation, clothing, meals, and direct client assistance.

Enjoy the Salvation Army band playing Christmas Carols, and Pastor Craig Paczkowski, who served with the Salvation Army in Atlanta, will welcome guests and introduce our main speakers for the morning, Majors Lewis and Jacqulyn Reckline.
